Vaginal Cytology - £15

A vaginal swab taken to help ascertain when your bitch may be ready to be mated. Several of these may need to be done to get a good picture and it is not as accurate as blood progesterone testing, but sometimes helpful to give you an idea, especially at weekends etc when you cant get bloods sent to the laboratory or unsure of when season has started.

Ultrasound Scanning - £35

A full ultrasound scan of the bitch to detect pregnancy. This is ideally performed 28-35 days from first mating. Scan pictures sent via e-mail.

Microchipping - £10 per pet

We are qualified to microchip cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets. We offer a free house visit for litters of puppies or kittens within a 5 mile radius of Newtown, 45 pence per mile thereafter.

Any cat that has been re-homed through Kelly's Kat Rescue or Powys Animal Welfare can have the microchip done at a discounted price of £7.50.

Teeth Cleaning - £30 initial treatment (£15 follow-up)

This service is suitable for dogs with mild and moderate tartar build up but not a substitute for veterinary dental work.

It will however, certainly help prevent the need for a general anaesthetic and dental in the future providing the mouth and teeth are relatively healthy.

Initial assessment, toothbrush and first treatment is £30, treatments thereafter are £15 per session. The amount of sessions needed will vary with each dog.
